Creative Percussion Dance Education Program
“Body Rhapsody” : Creative Percussion Dance Education Program- Organized by our team is a program titled “Body Rhapsody”, where we would build connections with diverse communities through partnerships with various educational institutions and elderly centers. Led by professional tap dance instructors, the program will guide participants of all ages and abilities. By tapping the floor, clapping hands, and the use of props to create different rhythms, participants will create a variety of rhythmic sounds and combine them with physical movements to create an original body percussion dance. This program aims to help students explore their potential in dance, music, and body coordination, while emphasizing the significance of listening and teamwork. By the end of the course, there will be a public performance for students to demonstrate their skills, along with an online talk session where they can share their learning experiences. This program fosters creative expression and brings together diverse social groups through innovative endeavors, cultivating an atmosphere of acceptance and harmony.
Dance Instructor Exploration Workshop -「自我溯源」
To facilitate this program, we have designed a series of exploratory workshops for dance instructors. The workshops cover four distinct units: visual arts, percussion, movement and space, and teaching techniques. These sessions aim to provide a platform for dance educators to share and connect, enhancing their understanding of our educational values.

Doodles and scribbles represent the early stages of creativity we experience as during our childhood. By creating with simple lines, shapes, and patterns, we can convey emotional imagery. This exploration allows dancers to reconnect with the basic sounds of tap dance, such as the rhythm of hand claps and foot tap. Through the act of doodling and scribbling, they can blend these sounds into rhythmic sequences, transforming their bodies into instruments of music.
Visual Arts
Percussion
By understanding the subtle changes of sound and rhythm, we reimagine the body as an instrument, guiding our movements through auditory awareness.

Body and Space
Building on percussion concepts, we explore the relationship between sound and body, focusing on movement to discover the dynamics and spatial use in tap dance.
Teaching Strategies
Developing lesson plans, setting teaching goals, demonstrating common games used in tap dance, and sharing potential challenges encountered during the teaching process.
