The Making of the Perfect Mulan
_edited.jpg)
Story Summary
After returning home, Mulan grapples with her father's wish for her to marry well, while feeling increasingly distant from her hometown and old friends. Mulan strives to become a "perfect lady". However, she soon realises that transitioning from the battlefield back to everyday life is distancing her from the rhythm of her hometown. As she navigates the tension between her past and her aspirations, she questions her identity and the meaning of growth. A chance encounter with a cricket invites her to embrace her own path forward.
"The Making of the Perfect Mulan" is a spiritual journey of returning home. In the farewell to old friends and the quest for self-discovery, Mulan learns to grow and gently says goodbye.
